Don Iftar: Feeding a faster with 2€

For more than five years now, Kebchi has been striving to bring aid to the needy in the poorest regions of Africa.

This year again, on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, Kebchi is launching its food donation campaign, in order to feed the poorest fasters.

Our goal is to feed 100,000 fasters in this blessed month of Ramadan.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever feeds a fasting person who breaks his fast, will have the same reward as him without this in any way diminishing the reward of the fasting person”

Narrated by At-Tirmidhi

Multiply the hassânat of your fast and support fasters in need.

How many people would you like to offer a meal to? 2€ is equivalent to a hot meal.

Together against hunger

What are Iftar donations? What are the benefits?

During the month of Ramadan, each of your good deeds is multiplied! By feeding a fasting person for iftar, you allow a poor person to have enough to eat and you make it easier for them to fast the next day.

Thousands of people need your help. Our brothers and sisters are starving every day. Donating a meal is a simple gesture, which for them is an immense benefit. This represents a hot meal, with meat and drinking water.

Yalasheep acts primarily in areas and villages little known to the general public, difficult to access, where other humanitarian associations cannot go. Thus, our actions are mainly concentrated in Madagascar, where cyclones have ravaged the crops and the homes of the villagers. They live in extremely precarious situations, to the point where they sometimes eat clay cakes

Some numbers

By the grace of Allah, in 2021, thanks to your generosity, we were able to distribute 35170 meals.

We were also able to donate more than 1,900 food parcels, containing water, oil, rice and legumes.

Kebchi, also represents the construction of more than 230 wells through the poorest villages of Madagascar, in order to stem the drought that is raging there.

As you know, the month of Ramadan is the month of sharing, it is an opportunity for each of us to strengthen our faith and accomplish good works. By supporting our projects and our actions, you realize a multiple alms. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Almsgiving extinguishes sins like water extinguishes fire”. (Reported by Ibn Maja)

I strongly recommend the Kebchi association, the team is very responsive, transparency is essential: report sent, short time between the donation and the distribution of the latter. May Allah reward them and accept Sadakas from all donors, Amine.

Your frequently asked questions about Don Iftar

When you perform this good work and donate an iftar to a fasting person in need, you accumulate the reward of alms but you also receive the reward of his fasting;

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever feeds a faster for breaking the fast will have the same reward as him without it detracting from the reward of the faster.”

(Reported by Tirmidhi)

Whoever feeds a faster by making an iftar donation will therefore have a great reward. Don’t wait any longer and donate an ftour for this Ramadan!

There are several ways to help the poorest, who have little or no access to healthy food. At Yalasheep, we organize fundraisers throughout the year in order to distribute food parcels. During Ramadan, you can donate an iftar to a faster. You can also donate an entire sheep to a village in need.

Finally, it is also important to support the most precarious populations in the areas of education and development, so that future generations can have a chance of accessing jobs that allow them to meet their own needs.

We saw it earlier, the one who donates an ftour during Ramadan obtains by the grace of Allah the reward of alms, that of the fasting person whom he feeds, but it is important to remember that good deeds during the blessed month of Ramadan are increased tenfold! We thus invoke and hope for Allah’s acceptance of our good works and the atonement of our sins.

In principle, it is not permitted to feed those who are not fasting deliberately (except for those who are unable to fast). Allah’s laws apply to everyone and we are all supposed to fast. Failure to fast without good reason is a sin, and we cannot make it easy for someone to sin.

Allah Most High said: “You are the best community that has arisen for people. You command what is proper, reprove what is blameworthy and you believe in Allah.”
