THE WAQF

For the good to endure

Kebchi is more than an association, it is a Waqf.
The Waqf is an extremely powerful Muslim associational and religious fundraising tool.

To build Islamic projects, instead of constantly asking alms from the faithful, Muslim authorities have set up structures whose purpose is simple: to invest the money given in alms, to make it grow over time.

For example, Muslims would buy land with alms money and then benefit from the fruits generated from that land each year.
They organized a market parallel to the economy, constantly financing the religious, social and solidarity life of their community.

Kebchi reproduces this model by reinjecting all of your donations into humanitarian and Muslim projects.

Characteristics of a Waqf

Permanent

The donor (or his heirs) cannot revoke the foundation if it has already been declared waqf. This ensures that the waqf is created for philanthropic purposes only and will always benefit the community.

Ongoing

The donation must be perpetual once created. Therefore, there is a clear guarantee that it will benefit subsequent generations without being confiscated.

Should not be sold

Although the benefits of the donation benefit the Muslims, the property itself is considered to belong to Allah. Nobody can own it, so the Waqf becomes a “common good”. It cannot be sold, mortgaged, given or inherited.

And Yalasheep in all this?

Yalasheep is part of the Waqf approach. We wish, through our services, to constitute a strong and independent European Islamic heritage. All profits generated by your donations and the sale of our products are fully reinvested in projects aimed at supporting the Muslim community. By going through Yalasheep, you bring your stone to the building that we are trying to build together.

YOUR DONATIONS FUND MOSQUES

Thanks to the profits generated by the sale of sheep, we have been able to finance and expand more than thirty mosques in France and in Africa.

In 2021, Yalasheep donated €244,000 to mosques and associations in France.

You have contributed

A double good deed

Yalasheep is one of the only associations whose founders are 100% volunteers. ALL the profits generated by the sale of our sheep are injected into our humanitarian actions and our projects for the Muslim community. When you order on Yalasheep, you do many good deeds in one. You donate and contribute to the Waqf, which enables us to build mosques and madrassas!

Aisha Mosque in Darfur

The Waqf is funding the construction of a mosque in Sudan, which will include a madrassa for a little girl.< /p>
